Q

What do you usually do when you're online ? And I see you could be able to be online so often. Doesn't university stress you out? I'm just asking.

I have been online more the past three days because my Professor said I can't take the two exams I was studying for; so, to answer your question: University has been stressing me out too much lately, I've been receiving too many bad news. I wish I could just give up and get a job, but I know it's not possible. You see me around often because I stay up till ungodly times, otherwise I'd be here only for only a few hours a day (I'm replying to you at 2 in the morning). I usually listen to music, work on SJ-World, exchange tweets with people, read the news, update withkyu, work on graphics, chat with friends and staff members, watch videos on youtube, read fics and lj entries, etc. I do a lot, if I were to write everything I would need 5000 characters. Sometimes I do things out of the blue, like how tonight I spent a couple of hours browsing Korean blogs and looking at what fans had to say about Kyuhyun (which led me to finding this: http://i48.tinypic.com/2cr6iw8.jpg). I also like to--

Kyuyoung --randomly look up stuff on wikipedia and learn new things, haha. I reply to way too many PMs, while I'd like to write emails more often instead, especially to friends.

Hey Gaia :) I read somewhere that you used to 'work' at Soompi or was a Moderator there. How was it like there?

I was never a Moderator on soompi; I was made Friend of Soompi because one of their staff members suggested I join a group of people for beta-ing purposes, but that's about it. To be completely honest, I'm not even very familiar with soompi's various sections and threads; whenever I visited, I'd spend 99,9% of my time in the Super Junior thread (all of my posts are in those threads too). I did help out there and tried to keep the thread in check and up-to-date, but without any moderating powers ㅡ I wouldn't have accepted an offer anyway, since like I said I wasn't interested in anything but the Super Junior thread, lol. Nevertheless, that thread was still chaotic and disorganized, which is to be expected since people do not read anything. I'm glad I left the place though, I don't regret it one bit. Not after seeing how much hypocrisy and unfairness there was. I know that what I'm doing now is right, and that's all that matters.

Q

Do you think Kyuhyun's been working out? In an SJM video where they played pass the dance, Kyuhyun said he couldn't lift his leg because he did crunches the night before. His arms are more toned? --> http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/4310/mg8525.jpg (that may not be the best example but yeah) ♥

Kyuhyun has always had muscles; they have never been huge, but his arms weren't impossibly lanky when he debuted. It's just that even when he's in casual clothes, he tends to wear long-sleeves or shirts that cover a good portion of his forearm, so you can't see much. Sometimes you can tell he's been working out, because you'll suddenly see bulging muscles underneath the shirt; but then, apparently, he stops and said muscles sort of.. deflate. It's happened quite a few times, haha. It's something about him that I've had fun noticing throughout the years. He's been definitely working out (not constantly, though) since SJ-M's debut, but recently it looks like he's been more determined.. ♥ he looks healthier, so that makes me happy.

I'm sorry if this question annoys U. Like I know, EU people are really independent, they leave home when they're 18. But U... U are 26, and you still are with UR parent. Is it because you're responsible for them or they don't let U go away? You don't have to answer my question ^^ It's okay.

Not all countries in Europe are like that; Italy is ALWAYS talked about on the news as one of those countries where kids leave home at a VERY late age, sometimes they don't leave at all. My best friend is 27, she managed to get a job and has had it for 3-4 years already, she gets paid very well, but she still lives with her parents. Getting a job here is nearly impossible now, and many workers are getting fired because employers can't afford to pay them; unemployment is increasing. If I were to leave home I would be unable to pay for rent, and I'd have to ask my parents for help they can't offer me. My family isn't poor, but we aren't rich either; my parents could never help me if I left, and I know I would be unable to get a job anytime soon. I don't plan to leave home until I've graduated this hellhole of a University; despite the arguments, I love my family and I also could never live without my pets. I don't even have any intention of getting married anytime soon (if ever at all).

How do you like Kangin? Aside from his screw-ups. I adore him to no end, and although he majorly disappointed me last year, I still do.

Disappointment does not make me love him less; he's Kim Youngwoon first and foremost, a human being like me, and he obviously makes mistakes like me. Like all of us. Even if the hit n run incident made me feel incredibly disappointed in him, I also understand that as an idol he's under too much pressure, and that sometimes you come to a point where you can't handle it, and lose control completely. He was too stressed out and needed a break, I no longer blame him for his actions. I can't even imagine putting myself in his shoes, I don't really know what I would've done in his place; all I know is that I would've certainly felt very scared. Youngwoon seems like a tough guy, but he's quite emotionally weak ㅡ you can especially tell from his old broadcasts on chunji radio ㅡ and for that I feel sorry for him. I also miss him a lot, and still love him as much as I did before. ♥ I hope he'll come back with a smile, and that Korea forgives him.

Be honest... how often do you watch "A Man In Love" performances JUST to see Kyu's part? ;)

Honestly? I haven't in a long time. I probably last saw him perform 갈증 when I watched the Super Show DVD, and that was so long ago. Although I like to read fanfictions, and I occasionally crack sexual jokes ㅡ mostly involving Zhou Mi and Kyuhyun together, not myself ㅡ I'm not one of those people who are obsessed with talking about their favourite idols on a sexual level 24/7. I also do not feel the need to stare at him thrust his hips; I'd rather spend my time watching him perform Gee, or the recent Dance Battle. Not to mention that I'd rather not see him thrust his hips at all because up to this day I'm STILL afraid he might BREAK because of the accident. I always fear Kyuhyun, Heenim, or Jungsoo might get hurt. I'm sorry to kill your question like that 8D really.. ♥? But I'm not that kind of person, lol. But! I must admit that I wouldn't mind watching 갈증 performances right now simply because I LOVED the outfit SO MUCH: http://i45.tinypic.com/se3d4k.gif ..I love him in white shirts.

Kyuyoung Quite hilarious how I had to link you to a gif of Kyuhyun thrusting his hips to show you which outfit I meant, LMAO. I only knew where to find it very quickly :( it was in Kyuhyun's project thread.

coffeebeans Oh god. I thought I was the only one with that fear of Kyuhyun "breaking" or still getting hurt because of their previous accidents up to now.

coffeebeans Or when Kyuhyun fell and held on to Siwon because of his surprise in the SJM Donghae & Henry party video. I get worried when I see those things. I'm happy to know I'm not alone. Haha! :)

unnie, your onioning is ALWAYS interesting.lol. do you think your parents will approve if you're getting married to Kyuhyun?

Thank you! ♥ Ah, cute question. Frankly, my parents can be rather racist at times, but I think they're only scared. They don't really know anything about Korea and its culture ㅡ save for the few things I told them about ㅡ so they tend to be quite close-minded. They're really afraid I might move to Korea, marry a Korean, and never come back to Italy again, so they would totally disapprove of me getting married to.. Kyuhyun, or any other foreigner. As far as I'm concerned, I know that if I ever were to get married (something I'm not even remotely dreaming of right now), it would have to be with someone whom I can speak in English to, or any other language that isn't Italian. I would feel more comfortable. I also do not really like Italians, and the only Italian-speaking person I still like is an Iranian guy I've been mentioning a few times. In the past, I've had a few random talks with my mom about myself getting married to a foreigner and giving birth to beautiful mixed babies--

Q

What do you think of Kyuhyun's new hairstyle? Personally, I think it suits him. He may not look like the magnae anymore with the style, but he looks really manly. I just need to get used to not seeing his mop of curls. Haha!

A

I think the new hairstyle looks amazing ♥ it reminds me of K.R.Y.'s debut, though, and for that I like it even more; it makes him look more mature, too.. he's just gorgeous, and I hope he likes it too. I noticed on sukira he kept trying to adjust what little hair he has left to cover his forehead. Anyway, I'm not one who cares for bad hairstyles ㅡ there was once I thought they had cut his hair weirdly, but it didn't matter because it's only hair, it grows out again. :) Personally I like him best in casual clothes, face free of make-up, and with his hair down and in his natural colour (http://i49.tinypic.com/30ag7xd.jpg), so short hair or curls makes no difference to me. I have a favourite hairstyle, yes, but it's only for a silly reason that I like it above all others (certainly not because he looks beautiful) → http://i50.tinypic.com/10f2eds.jpg ㅡ that's what he looked like when I first saw him in real life, so I want to remember him like that. ♥

Q

Reading from some of your responses, u sound a little annoyed by the questions some people are asking u on Onioning? I was wondering what type of questions are we limited to? Cos I thought we could ask 'anything'. Sorry, I just want to make things clear, so in future I know which questions to avoid.

I only don't like to talk about SuperShow 2 (unless it's Kyuyoung, Siwon's solo, or SJ-M), so I'd rather have people not ask me anything about it. I also think that asking me here "technical" questions such as "what is the difference between Hangeul and Romanization", or "what is a Tech Admin" is pointless, because we have a Q&F section on SJ-World for that. I feel like an info service when I'm asked such questions, but fortunately it happens very rarely. The only other thing I can think of that left me speechless is when the other day I was asked a rather crude question about the car accident that occurred in 2007. It was something really detailed about the surgeries performed on Kyuhyun. And honestly, those are mental images I do not wish to replay in my head again. That is something I don't deal well with. I'm sorry if I offended anyone with my tweets, but I think we all have topics we can't bring ourselves to talk about, or that annoy us because anyone could answer those questions.

Q

When you were a fan of DBSK, how was it like?

empty 6 months ago

Report Spam

A

Not much different from being a Super Junior fan; I had been following DBSK since debut, I was an Admin on IN:COMPLETE, and then on Belle Mode. I went through the 5±1=0 issue (which is close to the ONLY13 one, but without a human target), the important awards, a couple of projects, and all that jazz. Fans were pretty much the same: many only considered DBSK cute guys, while some others actually bothered to consider the boys as more than just a pretty face. There was less drama at the beginning, in the international fandom at least; later on, this fandom made me see Korean entertainment (and the fans) for what it really is. On another note, I think being a Super Junior fan is a lot more satisfying on a personal level(?) because of the variety of activities they invest their time in (DJing, MCing, guesting, acting, etc.); there's so much more to enjoy about them. ♥
